13 March 2005
The morning of the 13th, Amanda, Chad, Mike, Ken, and I ran the Fleet Feet St. Patrick's Day Inaugural Half Marathon! Lincoln was a wuss and didn't run it. Yes, we will give him shit forever. You can check out the race results here.

Although my birthday actually fell on 21 March, it was decided for me to have my birthday celebration on the 13th, which was a Sunday. I knew that we were celebrating, but I didn't know how. Ken's pretty sneaky that way. But not that sneaky. I had guessed, unbeknownst to me,  some aspects of the night, like mode of transportation. Ken had said not to worry about transportation it was taken care of, when I mentioned that we can take my new RAV4 for all to see. After he made that comment, I had a funny suspicion that he got us a limo for the night; I was right. Also, a few days prior, I had asked, more like bugged him about where we were eating, I forgot how the exact conversation went, but I did go on line to City Search and found one little place, that I was interested in, "Ricks Dessert Cafe". I brought that up to him and he said, that would be a terrible place to go. I had a hunch that we would go there; and we did. Not for dinner, but for dessert. Yumm-o! For dinner we went to a very nice Italian place called Lucca. It's Governor Schwarzenegger's favorite place to eat. I had an awesome time! And I just want to say thank you to my wonderful husband and our friends for making my 'GASP' 40th birthday streak-fest a memorable one! Ok Ken, what are you going to plan for my 50th birthday?  :)

Photo's from my party.
It's 0'dark thirty, people! Yeah, I could be sleeping. Mike: "Yeah, I'm number 42, definitely". Check out my new RAV4!
Yes, I am 40 folks! Ok guys, lets go have some fun! "Here Carol, don't worry, it's only wine." "Chocolate, one of the 4 major food groups."
"Ken, ya mind driving so the limo guy can join us?" For a stretch limo, it's kind of cramped in here. Pat's got some sort of weird growth on top of his head. Amanda and Carl
Lincoln: "Dah... I like pink leather!"
Ken: "Oh, hey, hello!"
You know Fawn, if you make your face like that, it'll freeze that way. I ran a 1/2 Marathon this morning, people. I need nourishment. [Insert your own caption here]
"Oh geez woman, just pick something." "Oh look honey, this place has lobster. I bet it's better than Maine lobsters." Amanda: "I'm innocent and sweet."
Carl: "Yeah, right."
Ela: "Babe, do you think I'm sweet?"
Pat: "Yes, dear."
French Fries, another one of the 4 major food groups. 1-900-hot-guys Me and Fawn enjoying our yummy deserts! Did I mention that Fawn turned 40 before me.  :) "Geez, what a damn scrawny-ass slice of cake."

Carl, Amanda, Lincoln, Ben, Fawn, me, Ken, and Pat. Oh yeah! A free lap dace at Chippendale's! The evening draws to an end. Carol manages to hold a conversation with Amanda, while Pat admires the pretty lights.
