Despite what you may, or may
not think about the name of this festival; the good people of
Talkeetna do not drop moose out of airplanes as one extremely
uninformed member of PETA thought. The two day festival however
does include a 5k race, food, vendors, music, and a contest which
includes dropping moose poop onto a target for money. Ken and I
did not take part in the plummeting of moose pellets, but we did
run in the 5k race, check out our
