24 August 2002

Ken and I drove down to San Francisco to visited Milinda, an old room mate of mine from our RAF Chicksands days. It had been a little over 10 years since we last saw each other, so we figured, what the hell, lets spend the day in SF. Milinda was in San Fran on vacation, doing the tourist thing, so when we arrived, almost 4 hours later, (Ken had to stop at the REI in Berkley) we decided to do more tourist things. We walked to Coit Tower, checked out Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, and The Cannery. We ate at Chicago's Pizza and The Steelhead Brewery. We talked, laughed, and reminisced about old Chicksands days, and the people we use to work with. 10 years was a long time, and we managed to remember most of it. Below are thumbnails of larger pictures we took that day, enjoy.

The streets of San Francisco. The Crookedest  Street. Ken & Milinda on Telegraph hill.
Interesting art. The Navy's here. Another view of Lombard Street, aka, the Crookedest Street.
Coit Tower. One of Coit Tower's murals. A view from the top of Coit Tower.
Another view. A view with money. A statue of some guy.
The sea lions of Pier 39. Carol & Milinda Alcatraz
A very foggy bridge. We're cold, take the damn picture! Mecca
